Terminology relate to Hoist & crane
(1) Short Time Rating or Time Rating
'Short Time Rating' is a rating of how many minutes a hoist can be operated continuously at the W.L.L. (Working Load Limit)
This rating relates to the rise in motor temperature that occurs during operation.
In order to be given a Short Time Rating of 30 min, a hoist must endure 30 min. of cycle depicted in Figure 1 at its W.L.L. without exceeding its allowable maximum temperature and without showing signs of damage.
(1) 단(短) 시간 정격
‘단 시간 정격’ 또는 '시간정격' 이라고 한다.
호이스트가 ‘작업제한하중 (W.L.L)’ 조건에서 연속적으로 몇 분 동안 작동 할 수 있는 가를 시간으로 등급을 매긴 것이다.
‘시간정격’ 은 호이스트 모터가 동작 중에 발생하는 ‘모터 온도의 상승(Temperature Rise)’과 관련 있다.
30분 ‘시간정격’ 을 부여 받기 하기 위해서는 '호이스트'는 그림 1. 나타낸 것 같은 주기의 작업을 ‘작업제한하중’ 조건에서,
‘모터최대허용온도’ 를 넘기지 않고 어떠한 손상의 흔적도 보이지 않으며 30분 동안을 견뎌야 한다
(2) Duty Rating / Max. Number of Starts
'Intermittent Duty Rating' or 'Duty Rating'(%ED) indicates how much time a hoist can be operating within a given period of time (a maximum of time 10 minutes)
This rating also relates to the rise in motor temperature that occurs during operation.
The cycle in below Figure is specified for hoist being operated at 63% of the W.L.L.
‘운전정격’ ‘Duty Rating’ (% ED)은 주어진 시간 (최대 10분) 내에 '호이스트 (모터)'가 작동 할 수 있는 시간을 나타냅니다.
이 등급 (Rating)은 또한 작업 중에 발생하는 '호이스트' 모터 온도의 상승과 관련이 있다.
아래 그림의 호이스트 작업은 호이스트 W.L.L. 의 63% 하중을 기준으로 한다.
% ED = [(t1 + t3) / T] x 100
= [(motor ON time) / (total cycle time)] x 100
일반적으로 한국에서 생산하는 표준 호이스트 모터의 ED는 40% 정도이다.
이 의미는 '호이스트'를 아래와 같은 주기로 (Cycle) 로 10분 이하 기간 동안 작업하여 호이스트 ON time 이 4분을 이하
일 때 호이스트 모터가 '최대 허용 온도'를 넘지 않으면 40% ED 인정한다
(3) ED & Maximum Starts per Hours
FEM 9.682 (Federation Europeenne De La Manutention) designates the maximum starts for 40% to be 240 starts per hours.
This means that if a single hoist is operated under the limitations of its designated rating and starts per hours, the rise in motor temperature will not exceed the maximum allowable motor temperature.
If the hoist is operated in this manner, the hoist can be operated continuously in consecutive hours.
FEM 9.682 에서는 40%ED 는 1시간 동안 호이스트 모터를 시작횟수를 최대 240번 지정한다. 즉 이 호이스트는 1시간 동안 최대 240번 시작 버튼을 눌러도 모터가 ‘최대허용온도’를 넘지 않는다는 의미이다.
호이스트가 이러한 방법으로 조작된다면 이 호이스트 계속해서 지속적으로 사용하여도 호이스트 모터에 무리가 없다.
